Some things you should know
about your holistic, natural or wellness business
Professionals in the alternative, holistic, integrative and natural health industries or the health, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, naturopathy, nutrition and wellness industries may choose to form their association by using those titles in their association name. Merchants in these industries may also include food, nutrition and wellness in their association name.
In some states you may need or want to avoid using certain terms in your association name.
Health, Nutrition and Wellness Professionals
We generally advise avoiding the use of the term therapist for professionals in the health, nutrition and wellness industries. We encourage professionals in these industries to become certified as coaches. However, professionals who are teaching others how to become certified as therapists can legally include the words "therapist association" in their association name.
Specifically, we recommend becoming any of the following:
We also recommend you take your coaching workshop from Coach 4 Nutrition if you have not already completed an ICF accredited coaching workshop. This coaching workshop will also qualify as your coaching requirement for a spiritual healer license. For a list of other accredited coaching workshops visit the Natural Therapies Coach Workshops Network.
Homeopaths and Naturopaths
These professionals need to be very aware that the Codex Alimentarius Commission has a mission to eliminate your profession by bringing it under the control of a pharmaceutical industry supported licensing board. This process is already under way in most states.
In those states that already license homeopaths and/or naturopaths, the licensing boards are controlled by the medical naturopaths and medical doctors. Both groups are heavily influenced by the pharmaceutical industry and the Codex Alimentarius Commission. You are on their list to be eliminated as a competitor to pharmaceutical company profits.
We recommend you become certified as a homeopath coach or naturopath coach so you can continue to practice your profession. Specifically, we recommend that you become certified as a:
We further recommend you take a coaching workshop through either Homeopath Coach or Naturopath Coach unless you have already completed an ICF or American Accreditation Commission accredited coaching workshop. These coaching workshops will also qualify as your coaching requirement for a spiritual healer license.
Hypnotherapists
Hypnotherapists who are not licensed by their state in a health profession need to be aware that the Codex Alimentarius Commission wants their profession under the jurisdiction of drug administering psychology or medical licensing boards. If what you do threatens drug industry profits you are already targeted for elimination whether you know it or not. With the introduction of weight loss drugs, your industry is an even larger target.
If you do not want to administer toxic drugs to patients, you need to consider your alternatives because those who do not administer drugs are already scheduled to be eliminated. It is just a matter of time before the Codex Alimentarius Commission forces state licensing boards to obey the Codex Alimentarius Treaty in this regard. The good news is that nurses are the most knowledgeable nutritionists in allopathic medicine. By becoming a nutrition coach, nurses can start their own association and continue the long tradition of nurses healing people become and stay well.
We recommend you become a Board Certified Nurse Nutrition Coach. If you're already board certified as a Nurse Nutritionist, we suggest you consider changing that designation to nurse nutrition coach.
Becoming a coach will require you to complete an accredited coaching workshop. We believe that Coach 4 Nutrition offers the best, and the most economical coaching workshops. This coaching workshop will also qualify as your coaching requirement for a spiritual healer license. For a list of other accredited coaching workshops see the Natural Therapies Coach Workshops Network
Hydrotherapists and Detoxification Therapists
Hydrotherapists and detoxification therapists are already under attack in many states and a few provinces for practicing medicine, dietetics, nutrition or counseling without a license. This has all the appearances of an attempt to put all hydrotherapists and detoxification therapists out of business.
The pharmaceutical industry has several hundred drugs -- some experts claim over 1000 -- undergoing clinical trials at this time. Many of these drugs will compete with the services you offer. Pharmaceutical company profits are expected to increase if you are eliminated as competition.
